Saitama Prefecture "SDGs Partner”

We have been registered as "SDGs Partner" promoted by Saitama Prefecture. Saitama Prefecture, where our development and production bases are located, promotes "SDGs Partners" as a registration system for companies and organizations that voluntarily implement and publicize SDG initiatives in the three areas of environment, society, and economy. Based on our management philosophy "We are a pioneer in creating safe working environments for workers," we will contribute to the achievement of the SDGs and the development of a sustainable society as a good corporate citizen through our business.

Giving back to the community

As a member of the community, we contribute to our local communities in the following ways:

  • Headquarters (Itabashi-ku, Tokyo)
Joint efforts with the local police station in traffic safety activities
Cosponsoring festivals organized by the local neighborhood association
Sending members of the Company baseball team to participate in Itabashi youth baseball lessons as instructors
  • Development Center (Kasukabe, Saitama Prefecture)
Participating in industrial park cleanup activities
  • Hakodate Factory (Hakodate, Hokkaido)
Cosponsoring the Donan Ekiden long-distance relay road race
Accepting interns from local high schools

Participation in TABLE FOR TWO

Table For Two (TFT) is a social contribution initiative that originated in Japan with the goal of addressing food inequities between developing countries suffering from hunger and malnutrition and developed countries suffering from obesity and lifestyle-related illnesses.

We have participated in this program since September 2019.

  • Each time an employee enjoys a special healthy menu item served weekly in the dining halls at headquarters and the Development Center, we donate 20 yen (enough to pay for one school meal for a child in a developing country) to TFT.
  • At facilities including headquarters and the Development Center, special TFT beverage vending machines have been installed to support school meals in developing countries. A portion of the price of each purchase is donated to such causes.

Supporting domestic disaster response activities by the Japanese Red Cross Society

In line with its mission—Aiding the suffering and protecting human life, health, and dignity whatever the circumstances—the Japanese Red Cross Society undertakes a wide range of activities, including aid for those affected by disasters and volunteer activities rooted in local communities. Domestic disaster response is one of its nine activity areas.

When a disaster strikes, the utmost priority is to protect the lives and health of those affected. The Japanese Red Cross Society maintains a structure to rapidly deliver the relief needed in response to major disasters, including dispatching emergency medical teams, setting up temporary clinics, distributing relief supplies, supplying blood products, and providing mental health care resources.

We support these programs because we believe they play important roles in fulfilling our mission—to protect workers’ lives and mental health in line with our theme of transforming invisible risks into visible security.
As the risk of disaster continues to rise in the future, we intend to continue supporting these programs and thereby to protect human life and health.
