Formulating the CSR Procurement Guidelines
Recently, we have conducted a risk analysis for the RIKEN KEIKI Group and stakeholders regarding social issues related to CSR procurement.
Based on this analysis, we have formulated CSR Procurement Guidelines to serve as basic policies and standards for CSR procurement.
These Guidelines have been prepared based on the social issues defined by the United Nations Global Compact, and with consideration for our business environment.
Our Production Management Department will take the lead in promoting various activities in line with these Guidelines. We ask for the understanding of our suppliers regarding these Guidelines.
Among others, the provisions of the basic policies are the matters we require our suppliers to comply with as social issues of particular importance to our company.
About CSR procurement
CSR procurement refers to activities to fulfill social responsibilities throughout the entire supply chain by adding requirements reflecting the current status of responses to social, environmental, governance, and other issues to conventional evaluation items such as quality, performance, price, and delivery time, in the corporate procurement of products, supplies, and raw materials.
Organizing matters involving substantial risks and opportunities by each of the social, environmental, and governance categories, and working toward improvements through dialogue with suppliers
Our outlook on CSR procurement
Although CSR procurement is similar to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and ESG initiatives in that the purpose is to resolve social issues, CSR procurement requires to fulfill corporate social responsibilities throughout the entire supply chain. Therefore, rather than focusing on our own activities, we must also strive to meet the expectations of all stakeholders, including our suppliers.
Basic policies (requirements)
The basic policies listed below are the matters we require our suppliers to comply with as social issues of particular importance to our company.

Declaration of Partnership Building
We endorsed the "Declaration of Partnership Building," a mechanism established at the " the Council on Promoting Partnership Building for Cultivating the Future," whose members include the Chairman of Keidanren, the President of NCCI, the Chairman of JTUC, and relevant ministers (Cabinet Office, METI, MHLW, MAFF and MLIT). Our "Declaration of Partnership Building" was announced on November 2, 2021. The "Declaration of Partnership Building" is a declaration made in the name of a representative of the company to build new partnerships by promoting cooperation, coexistence, and co-prosperity with supply chain partners and value-creating businesses. In response to our management philosophy "We are a pioneer in creating safe working environments for workers," we will strive for co-existence and co-prosperity with our business partners through our Sustainability Policy.
